What Are My Options for Custom Sizes and Exchanges for Prints on Bluethumb?

Bluethumb artists offers a variety of print options to cater to different customer preferences. If you are considering custom sizes or exploring the potential for exchanging prints, this guide provides a comprehensive overview.

Understanding Print Size Options

On Bluethumb, the sizes of prints are often determined by the artist and/or the resolution of the original artwork. Here are some key points to consider:

  • Pre-Set Print Sizes: The sizes listed on a Bluethumb may be the only sizes the artist is able to print

  • Ratio of the Image: Ratio of the image will impact the sizes offered

  • Resolution of the image: This will also affect the sizes offered

Requesting Custom Print Sizes

If a specific size is not available on the artwork's page, you may have the option to request a custom size. Follow these steps to contact the artist and inquire about custom availability:

  1. Navigate to the artwork’s page on Bluethumb.

  2. Click the “Chat with Artist” button.

  3. Send a message specifying the desired dimensions. You will receive replies directly in your Bluethumb inbox from the artist, and notifications will also be sent to your email.

Please note that the final decision regarding custom sizes rests with the artist. Some artists may accommodate custom sizing, while others may not.

Exchanges on Prints

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate any exchanges on any work purchased through the site. If you wish to purchase another sized print, you will need to return the original ordered print and place a new order for the desired size.

Bluethumb’s policies are designed to provide flexibility and ensure you find art that perfectly suits your space and preferences. If you have additional inquiries, feel free to explore the Art Advisory Service, where Bluethumb’s team can assist in finding works that meet your specifications.
