What does the “Verified Artist” tag mean on Bluethumb?

The "Verified Artist" tag is a mark of recognition given to our Featured Artists. This tag helps collectors identify artists who have been curator-approved and recognised for their skill, consistency, and contribution to the Bluethumb community.

Think of the "Verified Artist" tag as an extra layer of recognition that can help collectors discover your work. High-quality photos, a cohesive body of work, and strong self-promotion all increase your chances of being featured.

How do artists receive the "Verified Artist" tag?

Artists receive the tag automatically when they are selected as a Featured Artist. Our curatorial team regularly reviews and updates the Featured Artists list, considering factors such as:

  • Artistic quality and professionalism

  • Uniqueness and consistency of style

  • Popularity and engagement on Bluethumb

  • Sales performance

  • Current art trends

Why don’t all artists have the tag?

Not having the tag doesn’t mean an artist’s work isn’t valued or professional. Bluethumb represents thousands of artists at different stages of their journey, and we celebrate all of them.

The tag simply highlights those who have been curator-selected as Featured Artists at this time. Since the list is regularly updated and rotated, artists may be featured in the future if they continue to develop their practice and gain recognition.

How do I get the "Verified Artist" tag?

Only listings created by Featured Artists have the "Verified Artist" tag.

Featured Artists are carefully selected by Bluethumb’s in-house curators, who look for creators consistently producing high-quality, original, and interesting work.
