What is Artist Advertising?
Artist Advertising is a paid visibility product that puts your work in front of Bluethumb's collector audience across three formats β Instagram Story, Instagram Grid Post, and Collector Email. Each format is purchased individually so you choose what suits your budget and goals.
Am I eligible?
Artist Advertising is currently in beta and available to invited artists only. If you've received this page, you're part of a select group we've chosen to pilot the program. We'll open it to all artists once the beta is complete.
What formats are available?
Instagram Story Feature β $300 + GST Your work published to Bluethumb's Instagram audience, with a direct link to your Bluethumb shop. Our team handles all production. Estimated reach: 1,000β5,000 impressions.
Instagram Grid Post Feature β $500 + GST A carousel post on Bluethumb's Instagram feed featuring your artwork, with your Instagram account tagged and a direct link to your profile. Estimated reach: 5,000β10,000 impressions.
Collector Email Feature β $600 + GST A dedicated feature block inside a Bluethumb collector email, estimated to reach 20,000β40,000 verified art buyers. Our team writes and sends everything.
How many spots are available each month?
Each format has a limited number of spots per month based on our team's production capacity. We recommend purchasing early to avoid waiting until the following month.
Do I need a minimum number of artworks listed?
Yes β you'll need at least 5 active Bluethumb listings for all three formats.
Do I need to provide any assets or content?
No. Our team selects and produces everything from your existing Bluethumb listings. You don't need to supply any additional images, copy, or creative assets. In some circumstances we may reach out for additional details to make your feature an accurate representation of you and your work.
Will I get to see a preview before it goes live?
No β our team handles production end to end. For examples of what each placement looks like, visit the Artist Advertising page.
What happens after I purchase?
Our team will be in touch within 1β3 business days to confirm details and schedule your placement.
When will my placement go live?
We'll confirm your scheduled date within 1β3 business days of purchase. Timing depends on current volume and our Marketing campaign calendar.
Is there anything required from me after purchase?
For the Instagram Grid Post only β you'll need to keep a standalone link to your Bluethumb profile in your Instagram bio or Linktree for 30 days after your post goes live. This is a condition of the placement. All other formats require nothing further from you after purchase.
Will I be able to see my placement when it goes live?
For Instagram placements, the post will be visible on Bluethumb's Instagram profile. For the Collector Email, the send goes directly to our buyer list β you may not receive it yourself as it is targeted to collectors, not artists.
How long will my Instagram Grid Post stay live?
Your Grid Post will remain published on Bluethumb's Instagram feed for a minimum of 12 weeks from the date of publication. After this period, Bluethumb reserves the right to archive the post at its discretion.
How do I know how my placement performed?
You can monitor your profile performance β including impressions, artwork views, profile views, favourites, shares, and add to carts β through your Bluethumb artist dashboard at any time. Note that dashboard metrics reflect your overall profile performance and are not isolated to a specific placement.
Can I purchase more than one format?
Yes. Each format is purchased individually and can be bought multiple times. There are no limits on how many placements you can purchase during the beta period, subject to monthly spot availability.
Is there a refund policy?
Purchases are non-refundable once confirmed. If you have any concerns about your order, please contact our Customer Support team and we'll do our best to assist. In limited circumstances β for example, if we are unable to schedule your placement within a reasonable timeframe β Bluethumb reserves the right to cancel your order and issue a full refund.
Can Bluethumb cancel my order?
Yes, in limited circumstances. Bluethumb reserves the right to cancel a placement and issue a full refund at its discretion. Situations in which this may occur can be, but are not limited to, if your listings do not meet the quality standards required for placement, placement capacity has been exceeded, or delivery within a reasonable timeframe is not possible. We'll notify you promptly if this applies to your order.
